Work on the product begins with preparing the clay — I knead it until it reaches the desired plasticity, so that the material is pliable and "alive".
*Each product goes through this process individually, without templates or forms, so even within the same series there are no absolutely identical works.
Next, the form is created: depending on the idea, I use hand-sculpting or a potter’s wheel, or I combine the two if necessary. At this stage, the proportions, character of the lines, and overall mood of the future piece are established.
After shaping, the piece undergoes a natural drying phase. This is a slow and important process: the clay must dry evenly, without tension or cracks.
Then comes the first, waste firing — it gives the product strength and prepares the surface for further painting and glazing.
